Third String

(Previously the indie-jazz trio “Wolves Not Men” and also formed from the “Seth Alexander Trio”) Third String is a new trio formed by Seth Alexander, Bobby Lucas, and Steve Perakis. The
trio performs new jazz compositions and toes the line between other forms of music to add improvisation in the jazz idiom- aka “third stream” music. The band is inspired by the greatest of jazz history as well as contemporary artists such as Kneebody, Mark Guiliana, The Bad Plus, and so many more. The three musicians have been writing original compositions in both the classical and jazz styles for years and have now brought their expertise together to have every performance feel nuanced and improvisational.
